What is CHANGE Collegian Network?

CHANGE Collegian Network ( CCN ) is an interdenominational, non-profit 501(c)3 Christian ministry existing to provoke college students to passionately pursue a close walk with Jesus Christ, joyfully fulfill God's will for their lives, and compassionately preach the biblical gospel to everyone in their sphere of influence and beyond. We accomplish this through weekly on-campus Bible and worship fellowships, as well as through evangelistic outreaches.

The outcome is that students are rooted and grounded in the Word and equipped with the knowledge they need to effectively defend the faith and share the gospel with atheists, agnostics, and individuals of various religious backgrounds.

CCN provides students with:

  • Weekly on-campus Bible fellowships, led by an approved Campus Leader, who teaches students in the Word of God, fundamental theology, biblical evangelism, and apologetics, which is the branch of theology that focuses on defending the truths of the faith
  • Evangelistic outreaches, where students put into practice what they learn, and spread the gospel on campus creatively in a group setting
  • A strong foundation in the fundamentals of Christianity, so that students may grow in their relationship with the Lord, as well as be able to counter the growing amount of cult groups on college campuses
  • Prayer, worship, fellowship and encouragement from like-minded brethren, who share the desire to glorify God through proactive soul winning
  • Opportunities to help assist ministries that are designed to help individuals in physical and spiritual need around the world, such as the persecuted church, while spreading the gospel on campus
  • One-to-one discipleship for new believers

CCN also assists in building the local church by providing them with:

  • New converts, who are in need of a church home and discipleship
  • An Evangelism Crash Course to help strengthen the local church to evangelize their local area and local campuses

We are currently located on multiple college campus locations, with head quarters located in South Orange, New Jersey.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God (II Timothy 3:15-17, II Peter 1:21).
  • We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30).
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are not unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28).
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose in dwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30; 5:18).
  • We believe that we as Christians are examples of the love of God in this world. It is this (agape) love that we desire to possess and without which we have no right to call ourselves Christians (I John 4:16-17).
  • We believe in the humanity (John 1:1,14) and deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-16).
  • We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of the human nature, and that all are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God's grace through faith alone are we saved (John 3:16-19; 5:24, Romans 3:23; 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5).
  • We believe that baptism in water is a symbolic, outward act signifying a supernatural, spiritual, inward conversion. Although baptism is a command of Jesus, it is not essential to salvation (1 Cor. 1:14,17), since faith in Jesus alone saves (see scriptures above).
  • We believe it is the mandate of the whole Church to go into the whole world and to preach the Gospel to every living creature. (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20)

"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise." (Prov. 11:30)

Our History:

CCN began in 2004 as a biblical evangelism class held at Lighthouse of Praise, pastored by Pastor Sean LaCon, and slowly became a campus ministry after recruiting college students.

By 2006, two campus ministries were formed. College students had grown from quiet Christians to soul winners. Many CCN students quickly began open air preaching.

By the end of 2006, four ministries were formed in 3 states, and CCN Radio, an online radio show training students in evangelism and featuring Christian music, began recording. In 2007, our first college graduate joined the ministry full-time, followed by an additional student in 2008, who became convinced by the call after attending the ministry's first evangelism camp/mission trip, called "Repent and Witness". By this time, the ministry had grown to 9 campuses in 7 states, providing evangelism trainings to churches and ministries, such as Revelation Generation, a large concert ministry organization. CCN continues to grow by the grace of God.

CCN is overseen by Pastor Sean LaCon of Lighthouse of Praise church. Ordained by Pastor Omar Morton of Victory International Christian Fellowship, he founded and now operates B.L.E.S.S.E.D. Ministries Inc (BMI), a 501(c)3 ministry, which assists individuals on public assistance in obtaining employment. As the Executive Director, He has lead BMI since 2002 in receiving numerous grants from various funding sources, and successfully transitioning thousands of low income and underemployed individuals into employment.

Under Pastor LaCon's covering, Tiffany Gelpi, Founder/President of CCN (pictured at right) runs the daily operations of the ministry and mentors the female Campus Leaders. Tiffany has had the privilege of serving the Lord through various evangelistic endeavors, including writing and producing an evangelistic play, providing biblical evangelism training for numerous churches and ministries, leading a team of open air preachers in various cities, and in multiple states. Tiffany worked consistently as an on-air "Phone Fisher" on The Way of the Master Radio with hosts Kirk Cameron, Evangelist Ray Comfort, and Todd Friel, as well as  Wretched Radio.

Jonathan Barba (pictured at left), CCN Mentor, oversees our male Campus Leaders throughout the United States. Besides leading and holding Campus Leaders accountable, he offers an array of talents, assisting in the creation of materials and services to help support Campus Leaders. As a former Campus Leader at Ramapo College of New Jersey, Jonathan also functions as a traveling Campus Leader, assisting in the start-up of Training Fellowships. Experienced in planning and leading teams in evangelistic outreaches, Jonathan also provides biblical evangelism training for local churches in English and Spanish.

Rashan Maddrey (pictured at right) graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Visual Arts  from Ramapo College of New Jersey and joined the CCN family as our Ministry Assistant. Handling everything from administrative duties to assisting in campus leadership to open-air preaching and evangelizing on college campuses, Rashan does it all!
